Cheap, Beautiful DIY Laundry Detergent

With only a few simple ingredients, you can make your very own Vegan and Natural Laundry Wash! It's seriously just a few cents per load! Here's how it's done:

2 Cups of Borax

2 Cups of Washing Soda

1/2 C. Baking soda

and a Bar of Dr.Bronner's Soap (whichever scent you love)

In a Large glass jar, combine all the ingredients and shake well. For the soap, just use a grater and shave it down. This creates the suds and the beautiful scent in your wash. I chose lavender since it's my very favorite.

Add some flair to your wash! I added the word "wash" or "laundry" in different languages all over the bottle. You could brush on chalkboard paint and write whatever you'd like. There are so many cute and fun things to do for this project! Attach a wooden scoop on a string, or decorate one to keep inside the see-thru jug.

Make sure that the brands you are buying are cruelty free brands. A lot of companies test on animals, even today.

The 20 mule team Borax is cruelty free and Bob's Red Mill Baking soda is cruelty free!

I have personally used this and still do and it works really well. I also add a splash of white vinegar to soften clothes and help eliminate pet and man odor ;)
