My DIY at home spot treatment secrets..
My Favorite go to’s are tea tree, just dab right on the spot. This is called using the oil “neat” or undiluted. I use a q-tip to apply and it really helps to shrink them and reduce redness. My favorite of all time for cystic like blemishes is oregano oil. I smell like delicious pizza, but no pizza face! It really, significantly reduces the redness and pain overnight. The other upside to these oils is you can add them right into your concealer and make a DIY acne treatment for the daytime!
Masks are actually incredibly important. They help to keep the skin renewed and fresh as well as clog free. Here are some of my all time favorites:
No end Naturals French Green Clay Mask
Hands down, best mask I have ever used and really feels invigorating and refreshing. It cleans out my pores without drying out or irritating my skin and helps to keep my pores clearer than they have ever been. My friend’s all own this mask now because I won’t shut up about it. It’s really, really great and I use it as an all over detox body mask too. It’s great right before you hop in a hot bath and you can soak and just gently buff it away.
Hana Organics
This Lavender grains cleanser is not only unique but really beautifully packaged as well. It has a tiny ceramic scoop for you to get just the right amount without being wasteful. You can use this as a cleanser and a mask as well, which is just too cool. It has oats and white clay so absorb oils and get dirt out, and calming lavender and calendula to calm angry skin.
DIY masks secrets...
Some of my absolute favorites are simple, one ingredient masks. For acne prone, non sensitive skins, try tomato. It is really refreshing and cleans deep. Pineapple and papaya are amazing-they contain enzymes that eat dead skin cells and leave your skin so soft and clean. I have noticed clearer skin just one day after using these. Banana is a great, hydrating and inexpensive way to treat blemishes and add some hydration without oil. Turmeric and chickpea flour is great for reducing hyperpigmentation if you mess with your skin too much or pick!
